Kelas IX di tempat penulis mengajar masih menggunakan
Kurikulum KTSP (2006), dan ini adalah angkatan terakhir karena kelas VII dan
Kelas VIII sudah menggunakan Kurikulum 2013 (Kurtilas). Materi Bahasa Inggris
Kelas IX yang akan penulis posting masih dalam lingkup Kurikulum KTSP. Berikut
ini penulis sajikan materi "Certainty and Uncertainty. Untuk lebih
jelasnya berikut penjelasan dan ungkapan-ungkapan yang lazim digunakan:

Certainty adalah
ekspresi atau ungkapan yang diucapkan ketika kita yakin akan suatu hal,
sedangkan uncertainty adalah ekspresi yang diucapkan ketika kita tidak yakin
tentang suatu hal.
Asking Certainty
(Menanyakan kepastian/ketidakpastian)
Ø Are you sure?
Ø Are you absolutely sure?
Ø Do you think so?
Ø Really?
Ø Are you certain?
Ø Are you really certain about that?
Expressing Certainty
(menyatakan kepastian)
Ø I’m sure
Ø I’m sure of it
Ø I’m certain about that

Ø I have no doubt
Ø I am positive
Ø Without doubt
Ø There’s no doubt about that
Ø I’m absolutely sure about that
Expressing Uncertainty
(Menyatakan Ketidakpastian)
