be worshiped. Ibrahim wanted his father not to make and worship the statues. But
his father was angry and refused his son’s advice.
One
day, when the people of Babylon and the king held a a party, Ibrahim took a
chance to destroy the idols. He destroyed all the statues except the big one. He
wanted to give a lesson to the people, including the king, and his father that
the idols couldn’t do anything or just speak out.
The story of Prophet Ibrahim |
After
coming home from the party the king and the people were angry for the idols have
been damaged. They thought that Ibrahim had destroyed their idols. Finally Ibrahim
was taken to court. In the court, Ibrahim argued the logical argumentation. He
taught the jugde, the people and the king that the Idol could not speak, or gave
advantage to human beings. He wondered why everyone was stupid to worship
such idols which gave nothing to them. They were just dead materials. It was
crazy if people worship them.
The
judge and the audience couldn’t break Ibrahim’s argumentation. Then the judge
asked people to burn him alive. Ibrahim was burn in the enormous fire. The miracle
happened. The fire couldn’t kill him. Ibrahim was all right. Many people were
amazed to watch such amazing thing.
Some
people was shocked to notice that. And especially, the authorities of the Babylon
felt so disappointed and amazed why Ibrahim
was still alive for he had already been burnt. From this happening,
some people started to believe him that he was a prophet, the messenger of
